Nickname(s):
Strathdee
What Are Some of Your Personal Interests/Hobbies:
Baseball, vibing in the Ritz car (hanging with the boys), sketching and video games.
Favourite Global Quote:
“Like Scoob, fresh out the bag.”
- Dylan
Favourite Global Memory:
Cuba. From the big things such as touring the streets of Havana, to Darth Maul (Babs) and Captain Piccard (Toole) raiding our room at night. Cuba was a memorable time that taught many valuable lessons.
Unexpected Lessons Learned from Global:
Appreciate every opportunity you are given, many people are much less fortunate and do not have any of the opportunities or luxuries we have in Canada. Always, enjoy the little things when possible.
What Does Global Mean to You:
Global has meant a tremendous amount to me. Introducing me to my best friends and teaching me countless lessons. Global is the experience of a lifetime.
How Has Global Shaped You to be the Individual You Are Today:
Global has reformed my outlook on the world. I have developed a greater appreciation, understanding and sense of empathy that I’m grateful for.
What’s One Thing You Would Have Liked to Know About Global Before the Program:
I would have liked to have known to come into this program more open minded. As Mr. Toole always says, “check your bias at the door.” This is a mindset that has greatly helped me throughout the program in all classes and trips.
