The Shaman is one of the largest and most important assignments in global. The Shaman connects our ISU's, art, and a creationist myth to create fourteen unique sculptures which are showcased at the end of Global. Students are placed in pairs of two based on their ISU topics and then must create a three dimensional vertical figure that accumulates both of their ISU topics with an underlying theme. Students are given roughly two weeks to complete this task. To conclude the Shaman project, the students then present their final pieces at Global Presents and explain their creations to the guests. Although it is a stressful and tasking project, it is one that makes for a key component of Global Presents as well as a great experience for the students.
