What Are Some of Your Personal Interests/Hobbies:
For the last semester my hobbies have been drinking coffee and doing homework.
Favourite Global Quote:
“Why would you choose to do your ISU on Vector Borne diseases?”
- Literally everyone in the class
Favourite Global Memory:
The last night in Cuba when we were all sitting on the beach reflecting separately on our experiences. All you saw were 28 people sitting alone but I’ve never felt so connected to all of them. Just knowing we all went through the same incredible experience together was so special.
Unexpected Lessons Learned from Global:
Different to my previous beliefs, procrastination is not always the best strategy.
What Does Global Mean to You:
A lot of work and coffee, little amounts of sleep, exploring the world and doing all of that with an extremely dysfunctional group of people you couldn’t love more.
How Has Global Shaped You to be the Individual You Are Today:
After Global I am more likely to jump into new things wholeheartedly and I have more confidence talking to people and making friends.
What’s One Thing You Would Have Liked to Know About Global Before the Program:
You are going to be uncomfortable and way out of your comfort zone. You will sing, dance, and put on costumes. The more you embrace it the more fun you will have. It goes faster then you will think. Live in the moment and enjoy every second.
